The IAA Mobility exhibition in Munich served as a platform for the premiere of the Mercedes-Benz EQE electric car, created on the EVA2 platform. The younger brother of the electric flagship EQS resembles it externally, but is a sedan, not a liftback. At first, the car will have two versions. So far, the first, the simplest modification of the EQE 350 is shown with a single engine output of 215 kW (292 hp) and 530 N • m.
A permanent magnet synchronous motor with two windings of three phases is included in the eATS module and is mounted on the rear axle. The on-board charger for it has a power of 11 kW, and as an option - 22 kW. Filling the battery with this method takes eight and a quarter hours or four and a quarter hours, respectively.

To improve energy efficiency, the driver can choose from three levels of recuperation when the accelerator pedal is released, or turn on the automatic level selection mode, at which the electronics will adjust it based on the traffic situation. Electric Intelligence navigation will select the best route based on access to charging stations. Energy saving is also facilitated by the developed system of thermal regulation of the battery and other components (current converter), in which waste heat from electrical components is used to heat the passenger compartment in the cold season. There is also a choice of three driving modes (Sport, Eco and Individual).
S-class and as an option can be adaptive pneumatic, Airmatic ADS +. At speeds above 120 km / h, it reduces the ground clearance by 20 mm. At low speeds (up to 40 km / h), by pressing a button, the machine can be raised 25 mm from the center position.
Among the options are: digital headlights-projectors with a resolution of 1.3 million pixels per headlamp, controlled rear axle in two versions (with wheel deflection up to 4.5 and up to 10 degrees), a projector on the windshield based on a micromirror processor (1,3 million mirrors). A number of features can be accessed over the air, such as the special Roaring Pulse sound, modes for young drivers, mini-games. You can also personalize the digital head light with different animations. The electric car will be produced by factories in Bremen (for the world market) and in Beijing (for China). The start of sales is scheduled for mid-2022.
